STOCKS | Hong Kong Shares Fall For Second Day As Tech Index Hits Two-Month Low

Hong Kong shares fell for a second straight session, with the Hang Seng Tech Index hitting a two-month low and the Hang Seng Index and China Enterprises Index both at a three-day low, according to Ming Pao. The Hang Seng's intraday range was the narrowest in three months. Southbound inflows rose threefold to their highest level in a week, while their share of turnover also reached a two-week high. New listing Longsys Electronics (9976) closed at HK$233.6, down 1.02%. Overnight, U.S. markets were closed, while U.S. futures moved unevenly in afternoon trade. Asian markets turned lower and losses widened after several energy facilities in Saudi Arabia were attacked and suspended operations. South Korea's Kospi fell 0.58%, the Kosdaq dropped 1.25%, Japan's Nikkei 225 declined 1.7%, Shenzhen's ChiNext fell 0.14% and the Shanghai Composite rose 0.2% after mainland China released import and export data earlier in the morning.
