Arm launched its second-generation mobile compute subsystem, Arm CSS for Mobile 2, at the Arm Everywhere China conference in Shanghai on September 8, adding support for agentic AI and AI-native graphics on a single compute platform. Jiemian News reported that the new platform integrates the Arm Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU and C2 CPU cluster. Arm said the Mali G2-Ultra NX is the first Mali GPU to include a dedicated neural network accelerator, allowing graphics processing and neural network computing to run in the same GPU pipeline. Arm said performance per watt in neural-network graphics scenarios can improve by up to 4 times, while existing gaming performance is up to 14% higher than the previous generation. Arm Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Will Abbey said global partners have now shipped more than 350 billion chips based on Arm technology.
