Iran Warns of Retaliatory Strikes on U.S. Gulf Energy Assets

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned on September 7 that if the United States strikes Iran's oil and gas assets, U.S. energy assets in the Gulf region will face retaliatory attacks, according to Jiemian News. In a social media post, Ghalibaf said the Gulf's oil and gas production chain is "large, accessible and exposed to risk," and that U.S. oil and gas companies in the region face the same risk. He added: "Strike our assets, and you will be struck too."
