Foshan Furniture Maker Jingyi Expands Global Reach With Heavy R&D Spending

Foshan-based Jingyi, a furniture maker, said its products are sold in 127 countries and regions and that annual shipments exceed 5 million units, according to ETNet. The company said it has more than 160 R&D staff and has invested over RMB 40 million a year in research and development in recent years. It also operates three major bases and five factories in Shunde, Nanhai and Thailand. Jingyi said its testing centre covers more than 1,000 inspection items, has over 200 testing devices, is CNAS-accredited and handles more than 10,000 samples a year. The centre is also open to peer companies. The article said the company has more than 700 patents.
