China's securities regulator has drafted new rules to strengthen oversight of private investment fund fundraising activities and promote high-quality development of the industry, according to Ming Pao.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission said it prepared the draft Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Private Investment Fund Fundraising, and is now seeking public feedback. The draft was written in line with the State Council General Office's guidance on strengthening regulation, preventing risks and promoting high-quality development of private investment funds, as well as the Securities Investment Fund Law and the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Private Investment Funds.
