The Southern Hong Kong Stock Connect Innovative Drug ETF (159297), which tracks the index, recorded about 246 million yuan in turnover and an 8.78% turnover rate, according to Jiemian News. The article also said China's innovative drug outbound licensing, or BD, transactions exceeded $57 billion in the first quarter of 2026, already above the full-year 2024 level, including a $15.2 billion deal between Hengrui and Bristol Myers Squibb. It added that southbound funds had posted cumulative net inflows of more than HK$500 billion into Hong Kong innovative drug stocks this year, while the total size of innovative drug-themed funds across the market had surpassed 150 billion yuan, up more than 18 billion yuan from the start of the month.
