Kalshi Bans GOP House Candidate Laurie Buckhout For 3 Years

Kalshi suspended Republican House candidate Laurie Buckhout for three years after finding she bet on her own race against Democratic Representative Don Davis in North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District. According to BeInCrypto, Buckhout bought less than $1,000 in contracts tied to her candidacy and agreed to pay a $2,589.96 penalty, more than the wager itself. Kalshi said she cooperated with its inquiry and accepted the findings, ban and fine.
