Iran warned neighbouring countries on Monday that it would not tolerate any act of aggression and would respond more forcefully after renewed attacks between the United States and Iran on Sunday, according to ETNet.
The Iranian armed forces general staff said it respected the sovereignty of other countries in the region, but accused the U.S. military of using their territory to attack Iran and vowed to destroy and strike any source of aggression. On August 30, the U.S. said Iran was preparing to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz and struck two rocket launchers on Larak Island. Iran later fired missiles at two U.S. bases in Jordan, marking the sides' latest exchange of attacks in more than a month. U.S. President Donald Trump described the conflict as a "small war".
