Polygon Labs Urges Node Operators to Upgrade After Austin and Kyoto Hard Forks

Polygon Labs issued an urgent notice saying Polygon PoS nodes still running older versions of Bor or Heimdall fell out of consensus after the Austin and Kyoto hard forks were activated and must upgrade their clients to catch up with the network. According to Odaily, Austin activated at mainnet block 91,949,700 and requires Bor v2.10.0 or later, while Kyoto activated at block 51,533,000 and requires Heimdall v0.11.0 or later. Austin also fixed two Bor resource-exhaustion risks: L1-to-L2 bridge state sync events were not counted toward the gas limit, which could slow block processing, and the lack of a size limit on the TxDependency field could cause peer nodes to crash.
