Hong Kong's securities regulator has added Star Bridge Capital, Star Bridge Capital Group, SBCFX, Star Bridge Capital Pty Limited, and Topical Wealth International Ltd to its list of unlicensed companies, barring them from conducting regulated activities in Hong Kong or actively promoting services to the public there. According to Foresight News, the move follows an abnormal liquidation incident involving London gold trading at Star Bridge Capital, after which the platform's Hong Kong office was found empty.
Hong Kong police have accepted the case and are treating it as fraud for now, but no arrests have been made. The investigation has been complicated because some funds were deposited via USDT, making tracking more difficult.
