Iraq Denies New York Times Report on Mediation in U.S.-Iran Talks

Iraq on Friday denied a New York Times report that said the country was mediating U.S.-Iran talks to achieve a ceasefire. According to Odaily, the Iraqi News Agency cited a statement from the prime minister’s media office saying the report published on Thursday was completely baseless and unrelated to reality. The prime minister’s media office urged media outlets to verify information, rely on official channels, and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports or statements attributed to anonymous sources.
