Singapore is considering cutting taxes for hedge funds and other asset managers and making it easier for them to hire more foreign talent, according to people familiar with the matter, as Hong Kong nears finalization of widespread tax exemptions. The moves would be aimed at helping Singapore stay competitive with Hong Kong, which is moving toward broader tax relief for the industry, Bloomberg reported.
