Chip stocks extended losses and pushed Asian markets lower, with the CSI 300 Index heading toward its lowest level in more than three months. The STAR 50 Index and the ChiNext Index both fell more than 8% at their intraday lows before trimming declines, according to Ming Pao. Earlier in the session, trading in eight ETFs, including the Huatai-PineBridge CSI 300 ETF, surged in the afternoon.
