Polygon CEO Says Coinme Acquisition Nearing Completion as Restructuring Begins

Polygon CEO Marc Boiron said the company is in the final stage of completing its acquisition of Coinme and will integrate the related team into Polygon Labs. According to ChainCatcher, Polygon Labs has also begun layoffs and broader mergers and organizational changes as part of its goal to achieve profitability by 2027. Boiron said Polygon Labs is shifting from a blockchain foundation-style organization to a blockchain payments company, with the changes centered on structure and talent needs. He also said the company’s revenue remains strong, stablecoin transaction volume has continued to hit record highs, and affected employees will receive compensation and support.
