China Says H1 AI-Related Computing Hardware Trade Hit CNY 5.13 Trillion, Up 56.6%

China's General Administration of Customs said imports and exports of AI-related products remained strong as artificial intelligence develops rapidly. Wang Jun, deputy head of the agency, told a State Council Information Office press briefing on July 14 that in the first half of the year, trade in computing hardware such as electronic components and computer parts reached CNY 5.13 trillion, up 56.6%, according to 36Kr. He also cited rapid iteration in smart products including glasses, translators and mechanical exoskeletons.
