A source close to Iran’s negotiating team denied reports that Iran and the United States will hold a new round of talks next week, calling the claims “false” and without factual basis, according to Jiemian News. The person also rejected reports that preparations for “Islamabad talks” had been finalized and that technical-level meetings would continue next week, saying any new developments would be released only through official Iranian channels.
The report said some media outlets linked to the U.S. had suggested negotiations and technical consultations would continue, after U.S. President Donald Trump made harsh remarks a day earlier about the funeral of Iran’s late supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and claimed an “understanding agreement” had ended.
