PepsiCo posts Q2 adjusted EPS of $2.20, revenue $24.18 billion

According to CNBC, PepsiCo reported mixed second-quarter results, with adjusted earnings of $2.20 per share versus $2.21 expected and revenue of $24.18 billion versus $23.95 billion expected, as weakness in its North American food and beverage businesses offset strong international demand. PepsiCo posted net income attributable to the company of $2.98 billion, or $2.18 per share, up from $1.26 billion, or 92 cents per share, a year earlier. Net sales rose 6.4% to $24.18 billion, and organic revenue increased 2.4%.
