Thomas Sy, head of multi-asset solutions at NYLIM, said blockchain’s largest tokenization opportunity is enabling personalized portfolio construction at scale. According to NS3.AI, Sy said blockchains could help asset managers build tailored portfolios for individual investors while maintaining the ability to serve large numbers of clients.
Sy’s comments focus on using blockchain infrastructure to support customized investment solutions, positioning tokenization as a tool for portfolio design rather than only for issuing digital versions of existing assets.
Citi projected that tokenized real-world assets could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, up from $30 billion now.
