Aave founder Stani Kulechov said Aave is expanding its target market from crypto assets to all asset classes through securities-backed lending and securities lending. According to Foresight News, he made the comments in a post on X.
Aave executive Luigi D'Onorio DeMeo said brokerages such as Robinhood and Charles Schwab typically keep 50% to 85% of stock lending fees, returning only a small portion to users. He added that the global securities lending market is about $4.6 trillion, generating roughly $35 billion in annual revenue, much of which is captured by brokerages.
DeMeo said tokenized stocks could return full lending yields directly to users through Aave V4. He also cited features including real-time transparency, dynamic pricing, no rehypothecation, and no intermediary fee cuts.
