Iran’s Central Bank Governor Says He Has More Room to Increase FX Supply

Iran’s central bank governor said he would have greater flexibility to “significantly increase foreign-exchange supply” as U.S. waiver measures are implemented and access to overseas assets improves. According to Jin10, he linked the increased room for action to the rollout of the U.S. exemptions and better channels for obtaining foreign assets.
