Hyperliquid’s Largest ETH Short Resumes Phased Profit-Taking, Reducing Position by About 1,700 ETH

A major ETH short seller on Hyperliquid, identified as “pension-usdt.eth,” has resumed phased profit-taking and has so far reduced its short position by about 1,700 ETH, with further reductions ongoing as of publication. According to BlockBeats On-chain Detection, monitoring data from Hyperinsight showed the move followed an initial round of profit-taking the previous day, when the address cut roughly 10,000 ETH from its short. The address previously opened a 60,000 ETH short position using 3x leverage, with an average entry price of $1,810. Over the past two days, it has cumulatively closed about 11,700 ETH of the position, while the remaining short position was showing an unrealized profit of about $3.18 million at the time of reporting.
