Brazil Central Bank Seeks More Control Over Budget, Staffing Amid Pushback

Brazil’s central bank is facing pushback from allies of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and from some of its own employees as it seeks greater control over its budget and staffing. According to Bloomberg, the bank says resource constraints are hampering its oversight of Brazil’s increasingly complex financial system.
