House Ways and Means circulates seven crypto tax bill drafts ahead of June 9 hearing

The U.S. House Ways and Means Committee circulated seven draft bills ahead of this week’s hearing on crypto tax policy, covering issues including mining and staking rewards, de minimis transactions and stablecoin activity. According to CoinDesk, the committee will hold a full committee legislative hearing on June 9, a procedural step industry group Crypto Council for Innovation called an “important first step,” though it is unclear whether the proposals will become law in the 2026 calendar year.
