Abra CEO Barhydt says Wall Street’s next crypto bet is tokenization

Abra CEO Bill Barhydt said Wall Street’s next major crypto narrative is tokenization, as the firm prepares for a Nasdaq debut. In an interview, according to CoinDesk, Abra plans to go public via a merger with SPAC New Providence Acquisition Corp. III in a deal announced in March valuing Abra at $750 million; the combined company would be renamed Abra Financial Inc. and list on Nasdaq under ticker ABRX, subject to regulatory approvals and SEC approval. Abra plans to launch BTCAF, a yield-bearing bitcoin product, after demand for its USDAF tokenized dollar offering, and is expanding onchain lending against bitcoin, ether (ETH) and solana (SOL).
