The U.S. House Ways and Means Committee is circulating seven draft crypto tax bills ahead of a June 9 hearing, including proposals to provide relief for small transactions and reduce tax burdens tied to mining and staking. According to CoinDesk, the drafts also address stablecoin activity and network fees, apply wash sale rules to crypto, align digital assets with existing securities tax treatment, and remove an appraisal requirement for certain digital-asset charitable donations. Digital Chamber CEO Cody Carbone said he welcomed the hearing and would work with the committee to refine the proposals.
