ARK Invest's Valente Highlights Overlooked Crypto Assets

Lorenzo Valente, ARK Invest's Director of Digital Asset Research, shared insights on the X platform regarding the current state of the cryptocurrency sector. According to Odaily, Valente described the market as having a 'graveyard' of overlooked quality protocols, with token prices having fallen 70%, 80%, or even 90% from their historical highs. Despite this, these protocols continue to generate fees, grow, and lead in their respective fields, though they lack attention. Valente provided examples of such protocols: - Aave, with a price-to-earnings ratio of just 9. - Solana, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 12 and $6 billion in free cash flow. - Ethereum, with a price-to-earnings ratio of 17, yet considered an 'outdated asset.' - Uniswap, with an EBITDA multiple of 8 and a chain influence covering approximately 2 billion users. - Avalanche (AVAX), trading below its own treasury liquidation value. Valente noted that many of these protocols were favored by venture capitalists in 2021 but have now become market orphans. He suggested that instead of chasing current market hypes like Hype and Near, there is more opportunity in finding value among assets that have fallen into the 'ruins zone.' He emphasized, 'You won't get rich by buying popular assets; you'll profit by investing in those temporarily out of favor but still fundamentally sound.'
