Chainalysis Reports Increased Strictness in Crypto Monitoring by 2026

Chainalysis has observed a significant increase in the strictness of alert settings among crypto organizations by 2026. According to NS3.AI, approximately 47% of these organizations have adopted alert settings that would have been considered among the top 10% in terms of strictness back in 2020. The firm noted that direct monitoring practices have become more consistent across the sector. However, Chainalysis pointed out that indirect monitoring remains less stringent, with exchange thresholds often being 10 to 20 times higher than those for direct monitoring.
