The parties are currently at an impasse over which issues should be included in the negotiation framework and which should be deferred for later discussions. According to U.S. officials, if a limited agreement cannot be reached, the U.S. and Israel may launch a short-term military strike on Iran within days to pressure Iran into concessions.
