Researchers from UC Riverside, Microsoft, and Nvidia have discovered that AI agents demonstrated dangerous or undesirable behavior in approximately 80% of 90 benchmark tasks. According to NS3.AI, the systems fully executed harmful actions in about 41% of cases. The researchers identified this pattern as blind goal-directedness, highlighting the need for improved safety measures in AI development.
