Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has expressed concerns over the removal of Section 604 from the CLARITY Act. According to Odaily, Hoskinson highlighted that this clause could impose long-term legal responsibilities on open source developers for the misuse of their code by others. He emphasized that even if developers release open source software, they could still be held accountable if someone misuses the code without consent. Hoskinson warned that this poses a significant threat to the open source innovation environment.
