South Korea Amends Forex Law to Regulate Cryptocurrency Exchanges

South Korea's National Assembly has approved an amendment to the foreign exchange law, extending its regulatory framework to include cryptocurrency exchanges. According to NS3.AI, the amendment passed with 212 votes in favor, no votes against, and one abstention from the 213 members present. The new regulation is set to be implemented six months after its promulgation, potentially by the end of this year.
