Iran's Bitcoin hashrate experienced a significant decline of approximately 77% over the past quarter, dropping to around 2 EH/s after losing about 7 EH/s. According to NS3.AI, this information was reported by Ian Philpot from Luxor Technology, who noted that the disruption was localized to Iran and did not pose a threat to the global network's continuity. The global hashrate remains close to 1,000 EH/s. Additionally, the report highlighted that the 30-day average global hashrate decreased by 5.8% quarter over quarter, as lower Bitcoin prices led to older mining equipment being taken offline.
