UK Investigates Microsoft's Enterprise Software Practices

The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has initiated an investigation into Microsoft's enterprise software practices. According to NS3.AI, the CMA is scrutinizing whether the licensing terms for Azure, Office, and Copilot make it prohibitively expensive to operate Windows Server or SQL Server on competing cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud. Microsoft President Brad Smith has stated that the company intends to cooperate fully with the investigation.
