Ark Invest founder Cathie Wood has reiterated her strong belief in Bitcoin's advantages over gold during an interview with Bloomberg. According to PANews, Wood emphasized Bitcoin's dual function as a hedge against both inflation and deflation, highlighting its structural advantages in the modern financial system due to its digital nature, while noting that gold's demand has reached maturity.
Wood pointed out that Bitcoin is still in the early stages of institutional and retail adoption, with institutional exposure continuing to develop. She observed that younger investors are increasingly favoring digital assets over physical gold, suggesting that Bitcoin represents a generational shift in value storage investment. Despite Wood's optimism, market data shows that Bitcoin has fallen 27.7% this year to $63,269, whereas gold has risen 19% to $5,180 per ounce, indicating that traditional safe-haven assets have performed better in the short term. Wood stressed the importance of focusing on structural adoption trends rather than short-term price fluctuations.
