According to Jin10, U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Witkoff, stated in an interview with Fox News that delegations from Ukraine and Russia are set to engage in a new round of negotiations within three weeks. This could potentially lead to a high-level summit. Witkoff mentioned that both he and Kushner are hopeful that the proposals presented to both parties will encourage them to come together, possibly resulting in a summit between President Zelensky and President Putin. The summit might evolve into a trilateral meeting with President Trump participating. Witkoff emphasized that Trump would only attend if he believes the best outcome can be achieved. Previously, Zelensky indicated that the next round of peace talks should occur in Geneva within ten days.
