U.S. Dollar Index and Bitcoin Experience Fluctuations Amid Market Movements

The U.S. dollar index briefly surpassed the 98 mark, reaching 98.029, marking a two-week high with a 0.1% increase before softening to 97.672, a 0.3% decline. According to RTHK, in late New York trading, commodity currencies surged, with the Australian and New Zealand dollars rising over 1% against the U.S. dollar, crossing the 0.7 and 0.6 thresholds, respectively. The British pound rebounded to over 1.361 against the dollar, increasing by approximately 0.7%. The euro rose past 1.182 against the dollar, up 0.4%. The U.S. dollar hovered around 157.1 yen. U.S. 10-year Treasury yields rebounded to above 4.2%, while the two-year yields briefly climbed back to 3.5%, as the market anticipates the release of January employment data next week. Additionally, Bitcoin experienced a drop to the $60,000 level, hitting a near 16-month low at $60,017 before rebounding to a high of nearly $71,500, a 13% increase, and later stabilizing around $70,300.
