According to CNBC, lawmakers from both parties are seeking investigations into reports of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s relationship with Alice Huang, a Chinese citizen and Megaspeed executive whom U.S. officials have suspected of helping China evade restrictions on artificial intelligence chip sales. Three Republican House committee chairs sent Huang a letter Wednesday requesting a closed-door briefing on Nov. 18, a day after Nvidia is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings. Sen. Chris Coons, who is in line to chair the Senate Foreign Relations Committee when his party takes control of the chamber in January, said on X on Saturday that Congress would investigate. Rep. Seth Magaziner also called for Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to testify alongside Huang. The New York Times reported that a memo delivered to Trump administration policymakers last spring identified Alice Huang as having been recruited by China’s Ministry of State Security and described her relationship with Huang.

Bitcoin block 974,988 was mined after block 974,987 but carried a timestamp 3 minutes and 22 seconds earlier on November 7, 2026. The discrepancy reflects miners’ ability to set block timestamps and does not indicate a blockchain bug, according to BeInCrypto. Bitcoin requires timestamps to exceed the median of the previous 11 blocks and stay within two hours ahead of a validating node’s clock; they need not increase from one block to the next. Galaxy Digital research head Alex Thorn said about 3% of blocks have timestamps earlier than their parents. Cryptographic links establish block order, so timestamps alone cannot reverse transactions or cause a reorganization.
